The community provides many amenities such as a large community pool, beach, clubhouse, tennis, pickleball, basketball and volleyball courts and recreational fields. The South Harbour Community sponsors various neighborhood social activities, such as, but not limited to Spring Easter egg hunt, Fourth of July parade and picnic, Pool parties, Movie nights, and Breakfast with Santa. Residents can also take advantage of the South Harbour Garden Club, Euchre Club, Book Club and the Annual Neighborhood Garage Sales (Spring and Fall).

The South Harbour Property Owners Associations (SHPOA) is a non-profit civic community organization responsible for enhancing community life and property values in South Harbour. The Association is operated by the Board of Directors and various committees, all comprised of volunteers.
